Well, we've all been expecting it, and it's coming. It'll probably come as no surprise, it's a rebranded Starmix iPulse. Mafell also confirmed a sys-dock will arrive in the coming weeks to months. I really hope they did something special with the adapter plate compared to the old one though. However I doubt it. I think it'll be just a minor modification of the current one to fit the new vacs.

That looks great. Hopefully we can get a competitive price in the USA.

We'll see how that metabo runs price wise in comparison as they are the same vac Good point! If Starmix is developing a new Systainer dock, then presumably Metabo would be just as eager to get it since Metabo sells many tools in Systainers. Metabo tools certainly aren't inexpensive, but I wonder if they command the same premium price as Mafell? Either way, since Metabo has wider distribution, I can have my local contractor supply shop stock Metabo-branded replacement filter bags and accessories, so I won't have to pay freight for consumables.

Something that will be interesting is comparing not only the price difference, but also compare the warranties and delivery configurations.
I'm pretty sure the Metabo carries a 3 year warranty, versus the standard 1 year Mafell warranty
I think the Metabo vac ships with a non-antistatic hose, if hanging an anti-static hose is important to you then you'll incur additional expense to get the proper hose. I think the Mafell vacs ship with an anti-static hose as standard equipment, might skew the pricing a bit.
I sent a message to Timberwolf asking for info, I'll post up when I hear back from them....

I spoke with Timberwolf a few days ago, they said they had no word on this vac, suggested that for the time being I go with the updated Metabo vac.

Just saw the new Mafell S 35 M Vac on www.mafell.de, seems to be identical with the Starmix ISP iPulse ARM-1435. Don't know the availability in NA...

From what I've been told the electronics are configured differently than the original Starmix and there's a new type of "nano" filter being used. I wonder what the differences are though. I suspsect they are very minimal.

Learned an interesting fact which I didn't know with the current mafell vacs it doesn't matter if you purchase the standard or m class there is no difference in filters or bags. The only difference is a man in a white suit has put a sticker on saying complies to m class and you pay an extra 100
