Never thought I'd end up with a Lamello, having both Domino machines and the DD40. Ended up selling the DD40 to a colleague complete with them rails and rail extensions for 32mm holes and thought I would get by with the pair of Dominos. Started on a project where using Domino biscuits worked but was a bit tedious as I was building bundles of frames on site in a commercial sound mixing studio - most of them one-off sizes and the glue up space required made it a bit crammy and nailing the mitres made for some more touch up work so it was slow going for sure and double tapping 4mm Domino biscuits was pratically not possible due to the width of the absorber panels so I ended up doing just the one biscuit, glue and a pin nailer and tape. Worked "ok" but felt sluggish. Landed two more studio rebuilds and decided on the Lamello as it would just make the mitre width which was 16mm stock and 70mm width. Using the Clamex P10 it was accurate, fast and ready to mount in no time with no touch up work. 25 frames later I was super happy with the purchase. Went through an 80 pack of P10's in two days... No Mess and better finish from the get go than the first rebuild. The overhead on the two studios actually paid for the Lamello for that project alone. I don't think I would have bought it unless I had that job coming my way. As a bonus I just landed five or six more studio builds meaning I will use the heck out of the Lamello in the months to come building interiors. The Domino will take the back seat this time but will get to play as well. Zeta P2 is the one I got. I did Plug-It, was a little tedious to fix the Plug-It properly to the Lamello but now that it is done it feels right. Hate cable bundles in the Systainers, always have two Festool cables on the side and one on the vac permanently so good riddance.

Yep, I've used them on solid wood. Good for glue ups as it eliminates the need for clamps. Additional dowels are could as a reference point in complicated glue ups.
I've used for clip on / clip off panels too, again best to add dowels for locating if you don't want the panel to move - they can slide a few mm back and forth otherwise.
