Looks good 👍 The power switch will be interesting, hopefully not a deadman switch .Don’t see a safety override on the new saw .

From what I can see it's about 720€ inc tax for the pure version with no batts, just under 1000€ with 2x batts and charger.
I don't care how much you earn, that's a lot of money... if it's as good as the P1CC (I don't really have any doubts on that) I'll be happy with it, but the P1CC is the only jigsaw I've never wanted to throw across the room at some point - I'll order in a pure, so approx 600€ without the tax - the P1CC will be resigned to rare workshop duty.
At the moment there are a couple of sites in Germany and Austria were it can be pre-ordered, delivery around August, but if it's anything like the LO55 there will be delays so I reckon first buyers might see one in October... what's a few months more wait after the years they've been promising this!

Since Buzz-saws ("multi-tools") jigsaws are used way less in most applications and on those rare occasions, when needed, it's hard to justify such expense, be it as good, as they are. My dad used to say: " getting the spoons, for after dinner is finished..." There are still few areas what Mafell could perfect-invent the tools, in their super premium range as they do, but market is over-saturated with half hearted solutions with chinesium ones, I'm not going to be bitter about getting 3'rd corded P1cc for those rare indoor occasional use, but for the most of the times I still have corded (site use 110V) Metabo and cordless AEG-Ridgid one.

I have a lot of MAfell and really like it, but a lot of it is just better than the rest, not miles ahead. The P1CC is miles ahead - wait and see what I think of the cordless once it turns up, it's got a perfect big brother to beat, not an easy task.

This is very good news. If it is as good as the P1cc it would be the best battery jigsaw on the market. But, at a heavy price. Today there are a few options that are almost great. I have a fairly new model Bosch 18v jigsaw and it is a fixed base jigsaw and honestly, it is very. very good. I also have the "other fairly new" Bosch 18V jigsaw, arrived last year on the market. It is also very, very good. Before that I had a Hikoki MV36 jigsaw which developed a problem with the locking mechanism causing blades to stick. It was pretty good other than that. If I develop any inclination to revisit the KSS40 18M I would be tempted to add the new 18V Mafell jigsaw to round out the kit. But the problem for me is that the current 18V jigsaw I have (Bosch) is already good enough. The KSS40 18M will always have its own merit to function as a stand alone unit regardless of other battery platforms. That's how I see it. It is that unique. If I had it still I would look into the new Mafell jigsaw. I look forward to initial reports on the forum! Henrik / HenRun
