Alright gang, got another question for you!
So, I just sold my TS-75 to a work associate, along with my extra Universal blade and a Fine tooth blade.
I have, leftover, a Panther blade and a Aluminum/Plastics blade.
The Mafell catalog lists the Erika 70 blades as 225mm diameter, 30mm arbor. The TS-75 blades are 210mm in diameter, 30mm arbor.
The reason I ask this seemingly straightforward question is, I understand that the Festool CS-50 Precisio saw takes blades that have a kind of goofy arbor, and just wanted to make sure that the Erika saws don't have any sort of a proprietary blade or arbor style?
I'm PRETTY sure I'll try to get a Erika 70 later this year or next year, and am debating whether to hold on to the Panther blade for ripping up rough lumber stock, and the Aliminum/Plastics blade for (you guessed it!!) processing aluminum and plastics. In neither application would I terribly miss full cutting depth.
The blades also have different kerfs than the stock Mafell blade, but only by 0.1mm, and I really doubt that discrepancy would mess me up, particularly for ripping rough materials.
Thanks!

Yes the Erika 70 takes blades from 210 - 225mm with a 30mm bore so I would assume would work all you need to do is adjust the riving knife

So I guess the MT55 blades won't work and the Kapex blades(260mm) won't work in the 85? Would be nice if my Kapex blades would work in the 85 since I've already made a fair investment.
Although Leitz Tooling will rebore to 30mm for a fair price.

That's good to know! I'm starting to think I should hold on to the blades for a little while longer, they're great quality and I'm loath to buy blades over and over again.....
Regarding Leitz Tooling, do you have a ballpark price on what they charge to rebore a blade? I think a couple of local blade shops will perform the service, but it's always good to have info on other options.

Last one I had done was less than $20.
You really shouldn't be buying blades very often. Leitz averages between 15 and 20 sharpenings before replacement.

Agreed, since I've started sharpening blades I haven't needed to replace a single blade, I just buy additional blades to fulfill applications my other blades aren't quite suited for.
Right now I've been going through Acme Tool and Supply for my blade sharpening needs, usually a 2 week turnaround and the results are very nice. They'll even braze on new teeth on blades that I knocked a few teeth of of! Good stuff.
