Anyone have clever ideas for storing the KSS/crosscut rails? A soft bag would be ideal, but might have to make something out of ply.

Depends how you are transporting it I guess. I have a rail shelf right down the top of the van, approx 3m x 300mm, I pile the rails up there including the KSS rails - I usually keep the KSS40 and KSS60 rails in the van, along with a set of Bosch/Mafell rails and a couple of Metabo FS rails for rail mounted grinder. There is room to add Virutex or Festool rails if need be.
I tried pouches and I even made a rail case - but they add weight and take up space. I heard a suggestion to use a snowboard bag for the longer rails - enough room to put a KSS rail in there. I'm guessing not the easiest thing to find down under! :-)
