So we all know Mafell 'fixes' prices - they 'own' the tools up until the point of sale so can decide the price they are sold for... so there are never discounts or sales. The last couple of weeks there are -25% sales on a load of Mafell tools from several French retailers.
I'm wondering if this price fixing has changed (like Festool that tried it and got fined) - or is Mafell in financial difficulty?.. I hope it's not the latter.
We're seeing 'official' inflation here in Europe hovering around 10% depending on the country - so you can bet the official figures are much higher. We're also seeing extreme delays on ordering in materials and goods - high end kitchen appliances 9-12 month lead time - so particularly odd in this climate to be selling high end tools at -25%. I picked up the NFU50, but everything else I've seen I either have or don't need - shame :-(
Are you seeing this where you are?
