I noticed Metabo filters are nearly 1/3 the price for HEPA vs Starmix/Mafell. They're the same form factor. What gives? Are they any good?

have NilFisk and used loads of different bags to a very varied degree of success. I'd say, as long as they fit - likely they'll be almost the same for quality (if not 100% identical) ... or as many of us did make ourselves dust separator contraption.

I've not found much cheaper than Starmix - but they'll be the same. I did notice some aftermarket ones on Amazon, I might try for wet vacuuming

For wet, you only use secondary filter m8, What secondary filter... I'm using the filters they show here after vacuuming water...

🤣 Thank god, I don't speak German, nor I'd try to hoover ash, nor I own starmix (just for good measure)

nor I own starmix (just for good measure) There is no secondary filter in the Starmix, just some very high quality filters that deal with everything - hence the price.

Among others.
It looks like the HEPA one, but since it's significantly cheaper...I've got my skepticals on.

True, but is it legit? Paying 1/5th for counterfeit that's going to blow all the nasties out the back into my face isn't worth it, but I still find myself wondering if it is legit...

I've ordered some cheap bags and filters for general clean up - keep the H filters for serious work - they're too expensive for everyday use.

wondering if it is legit... of course it isn't! but, we all had our home vacuums (hoovers) with all sorts (non) filtration for decades...

wondering if it is legit... If by 'legit' you mean original, probably not. I've just received some cheap filters and bags. Most of the time the vac is used for basic clean up, the genuine 'H' filters and bags are too expensive... I'll try them out later today.

Cheap filters and bags working OK. A slight problem with the O-ring gaskets not seating properly so no suction... I've put the Starmix O-rings in for now, will investigate when I get a moment.
