The KSS300 + its own track + the flexi is a bit of a snug fit in a systainer. I have not tried to fit the flexi in with the 400 yet. I shall not get a chance to try it until Wednesday. In none of the more informed gents gets back to you beforehand I shall try it then.
Cheers Matt

Thanks Matt. I know they will easily fit in the systainer4 but it just makes it too bulky.

I've seen on ebay someone is selling the KSP40 with flexi rail in a systainer 3. Looks snug anyone know if the KSS400, without cc rail, will fit in with flexi? Attachments:

Thanks but was thinking of the smaller systainer without inserts. I think the 300 is a maxi which i think is equivalent to the systainer 4. I was thinking more of the systainer 3.

The KSS 400 fits into a Sys3 without the track. That's how I store mine, it is a snug fit but nothing needs to bow or bend out of shape to make it work.

Thanks Jason. Do you think there is enough space for a flexi rail to fit around it?

I've never seen the flexi rail so I can't be sure about this, but from looking at photos I think it would fit. The biggest issue with the 400 in a Sys3 is the height. The saw needs to have the blade depth set at the deepest position and the lid just touches the top of the saw's handle. I think there would be enough room around it for the rail.

Trying to find a decent option for a case, for my incoming KSS400. I have two Classic Systainers, one a 3, one a 4. I'd like to use the 3, but it sounds like it might be a bit tight? I like to put a 10mm ply base in my systainers, so might have to use the 4. Only want to fit the saw, blades and parallel guide. Any thoughts, or other options that are available?

The size 4 T-loc works well for me. I got 2 spare blades , the parallel guide and the stabilizer-thingy in there and still room for some minor gear (hearing protection, glasses)

Can I ask, why the base?

I like being able to fix blocks and dividers to secure the tool and hold the accessories etc. In this case I'm going to weigh that up against the benefit of using a smaller sys.

Thanks Mark, looks like a lot of room left in the systainer. Will think about cutting the systainer to take the rail - interesting idea.
