Hey, no worries, glad to have helped out. I was going to buy another MFA but there £330 here in the UK so thought extra clamping piece and length of 20/40 would do me for now. Actually it works perfectly! I find with the extension table on the 20/40 fence is easier for doing rips of any width. Using the MFA with the extension table on you have to remove table to cut narrow widths. You shouldn't have to remove the side table to do thin rips with the MFA.
For the extension table you have the two extension bars that fit in to the dovetail front and rear - you calibrate the measurements to those on the saw. The MFA now fits to the front rail. For extra stability, Mafell sell an extension for the MFA that replaces the aluminium fence - you can clamp this at the back of the saw for more stability with one of the clamping pieces.
Since fitting the Incra fence, I only use the MFA on the sliding table, which is a bit of a waste... I would like to use it on the Festool CS50, but can bring myself to modify it - not at that price!

Thank you so much aas for that advise. I have that extension fence and mounted MFA on the front ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!!!! I was mounting the MFA on the side profile of the extension table (feel like a fool as I didn’t see this before) I also have the Incra positioner and very tempted to mount on the extension table but it’s mainly attached to an mft for dovetails etc. I did purchase an in2tools combination track from Holland with the intention of mounting the Incra positioner on it but haven’t really thought it out yet. On a side note I have mounted a Jessem miteR slide on the Incra. Amazing for dovetails better than the supplied jumbo attachment. Super smooth. Thanks again that tip has made my day.

This setup works great. Super accurate and easy to adjust. Appreciate the comments on here...great advice. Love being able to rip and leave my cross cutting ability in tact without having to move the MFA around.
