First time here!!
Located in the states, found a used 1993 Erika 85L that is in like new condition, contemplating purchase.
How hard is it to source blades? Would like to find a manual as well?
Thanks,
John

Yes. The blades take a 30mm Arbor. Timberwolf base them and you can buy other brands...Gandhi has some as well. I have only used Ma fell blades so far and they cut well.

Maybe not in North America, but the 250 x 30 mm saw size must be the most common & numerous one ever produced!
There must be literally hundreds of viable alternatives available from dozens of suppliers all over the world.
Everything from SCMS to Radial Arm Saws, Table, Site, Combination & Panel saws commonly use this size. In a huge variety of tooth counts (from 16 odd to 100+)', ATB, Rip, X-Cut, Flat Topped & Triple Chip profiles, & from positive to negative rakes, in hard & softwood, synthetic, alloy, even steel & combination styles, plus Hardieflex (fibre-cement sheet) cutting PCD. There's literally something for every possible contingency.
For what it's worth, if a 250mm diameter is specified then a more 'conventional' 10" (254mm) blade will fit too. The only possible downside is that at 30mm, this is the largest commonly available arbor hole used for this size of blade, meaning that the old arbor washer trick won't work for smaller imperial arbor holes. You could always have a "spare" arbor mounting washer (mounting flange) turned down to an imperial size (eg 1"/25.4mm) to allow for cheap local blades.

Thanks Guys,
I am in the states, not a real common size here. I was able to get a couple Tenryu blades easily.
Thanks for the info.

In my innocence I have asked Mafell whether such a blade would fit and they claimed “it was fitted with a 250mm blade and that is all I can say”

Can you get 10" blades with a 30mm bore?.. I haven't tried, the blade is already fairly close to the riving knife.
I understand Mafell's reply, but you could always get a cheap one (or borrow) to test fit.

The 254/250 x 30 mm blade size is one of the most common sizes available. There's literally dozens of manufacturers, and hundreds of micro-variants available, from thousands of merchants worldwide.
