Thanks! I have been looking at the Lamello line and drooling at it for a bit, too.
From what I have read, there's a defined learning curve for the DDF, and it's not as forgiving, but the fact it can do shelf pin holes and dowel joinery, seems like it'll cover most of my bases and I can then save up for the Lamello
I've got some personal projects to test out first (I dislike spending client time / money for "learning experience" as it's prone to lead to "learning mistakes / first time disaster" and displeasure all around). Looks like I can also buy the cutting guide for the DDF later if I need even better accuracy.
Get the guide rail for the DDF40 if you can, you will thank yourself later.
The learning curve with the DDF will be easier than the DD40P - as you reference off the base. For simple carcass building, you cannot get easier. The rail will provide perfectly lined up sets of holes for dowelling larger carcasses, or for shelf holes
abdon: I stand corrected , the angle fence is only attaches with F -Tracks , what confused me was , that the Timberwolf site mentioned it will work with the NFU machine, yes it will work but only I guess when you use the Ftrack , with other tracks Like the KSS L.

glynnco: Did you order from GereedschapPro? I see them as in stock but I'm located in the US and am not sure if they ship here. I sent them an email asking about shipping but it was returned undeliverable...

jonathan: I've purchased a lot of stuff from our neighbours @ GereedschapPro.nl As far as I know they are one of the larger Mafell dealers in the EU. I can recommend them, they usually respond quickly.
