Purchased KSS80 three months ago, however the plunge mechanism refuses to work. Its was fine yesterday but took it home to give it a weekly clean from dust with air. Now no movement down.

Does the lever not engage at all? Is the plunge depth locked?

Would some dry-lube help? It's a parallel plunge isn't it, rather than a rear pivot? Is it possibly slightly out of square?
I've found that powdered graphite often works to reduce friction between metal surfaces without attracting choking layers of dust & contaminants. In my case by recycling the shavings from carpenters' pencil sharpening. The graphite only, obviously rather than the cedar surround.

The lever moves freely and actuated the lower portion into the body but still feels locked.
Yes it is parallel plunge on two trunnions. I have used dry lubrication (ptfe) every week when cleaning. It was very smooth plunging on Friday but no movement tiday

Weird. Same as my own little KSS, then. Similar-but-different to a router's plunge, in that it operates with a lever/linkage mechanism instead of inner springs.
Are you sure that the plunge-lock lever is letting go of the for'ard post properly? Are the bronze bushings operating smoothly on the posts; i.e. no noticeable scoring on the post surfaces?
Could you have possibly blown any swarf into the top/s of the post towers, blocking the ability to plunge with compressed dust? Hard-worked routers occasionally need to be stripped down to clear accumulated dust from the post towers, cleaning the bronze bushings etc.
