I'll send you my address in PM, but it looks like your P1C needs new operator to see if it can be saved from bin (trash can)

Don't think it's cutting not straight, not by photo you given or by any jigsaw parameters, but in case blade is bent, just turn it round and see if it tils other way on reverse cut (can do with P1CC, not recommended with any other)

1. Should it get as hot as it does?.
1. Some tools have bearings that need to break in. During this time they will get quite hot. Mine also got very hot when I made a cut for a kitchen sink for the first time. It seems to be better now. I noticed similar on some Routers.

Tried to cut 108mm stacked ply with 135mm blade. First cut didn’t look bad but a longer one went skewed and blades are showing out of square (normal w1 as well but harder to see). You may overestimate the capabilities of a jigsaw. Even the P1 cant do anything about flimsy blades. The blade is held and guided at one end. The blade is only one to two mm thick. It will follow the grain in wood and therefore deflect and wander off. I also overestimated my first quality jigsaw (PS300) thinking I could use the guide rail adapter and cut 24 mm beech. No. That is why we have track saws. The jigsaw also requires a lot more practice than a track saw. One must be very careful not to apply sideways pressure which I did often accidentally. The Cunex blade will cut sideways in this case because of the extreme tapered grind. The blade in your picture might be bent. It is also possible that some debris made it in the clamping mechanism tilting the blade. You may try with a new and unused blade.

I think I tried a new blade in that picture but going to look again and investigate as it seemed I was also seeing off 90 with smaller blade but finding it hard to believe that tool could be off square and its not my eyes or some other issue. My clamp is definitely a bit stiff with releasing blades still, will take a look.
