Hello,
Just curious if any one has been successful using the kss 40 for baseboard installation?
I have a job where its very awkward to bring a miter saw onsite, and am going to try this little saw out as it is so easy to carry around.
Thanks
Brice

Yep, cut from underneath if you can, get one of the finer tooth blades too. Works a treat.

I don't have a 40 yet but I have been wondering this exact same thing recently. Ideally it would be amazing to see something similar to the 40 but with a clamping base etc specifically designed for baseboard & casing.
I have a set of wheels for a small chop saw and put them on when job applicable, to cut on the floor, but a completely handheld / clamping / high precision unit with quick protractor adjustments would be a game changer.

What do you mean by a 'clamping base'? - I'm not following you!

Sorry, as I was writing the explanation it gave me an idea - so I'll have to leave it there.

I've used the KSS-300 and KSS-40 to install extensive amounts of millwork. It's particularly handy in basements where setting up a miter saw or Erika could be a challenge. The only hard part is cutting small returns, you just need to plan ahead a bit more.
