Finally got the K65 18M BL (KSS60) out of the box to use yesterday - 45 deg ripping on some old wooden planks to create a 'folded' edge. Very impressed! Nice clean cuts, easy to keep flat on the rail while pushing down the length without it wanting to tip. Using MF26cc for grooving and KSS40 for end cuts, a very 'Mafell' job!

what do think of the power aas ? what thickness of timber were you ripping?,has the saw plenty of power to crosscut 50mm damp treated timber?

I'm ripping 20mm old dry wood at 45 degrees... it cut really well, but probably not the best indicator of power.

Another day with the K65 yesterday, this time wet 65 x 190mm joists, outside in the snow... no problems. You can make it suffer if you try to force the cut, but both freehand and using the KSS rail, let the saw do the work and it has the power. It is impressive for a single 18v battery saw. (Using old style 5,5Ah LiHd batts yesterday)

So in answer to my original question that started the thread, the K65 18M BL and KSS60 18M BL are the same saw, just the latter is supplied with the crosscut rail. Good to know! Cheers

... make sure you read the rest of the thread, it wasn't as simple as that! Will do! TBH I have ever so many saws, bigger than MT55cc is needed for very few functions as IE fire door making and trimming, else everything is "covered for" Cheers
