Hi Gang!
I'm working on figuring out a good method for providing out feed support for my Erika 70. Here is my basic criteria:
-- I want something that is essentially ready-made, with an allowance for modifying it to attach to the Erika.
-- I'm primarily concerned with out feed support for ripping operations
-- I'd like a support length somewhere between 1'-4' (300mm-1200mm)
-- Rapid installation/removal from the saw
-- Bonus points for being adaptable to other tools
Right now I'm looking at the Aigner table extensions. These are made in Germany, and are available from a North American distributor. Cost is ~$300 per unit including shipping. I would likely mount the adapter plate to a section of Erika table extension profile.

Pros:
-- Ready-made material support table
-- Readily available in North America
-- Designed for heavy machinery, should be nice and durable
-- Mounting brackets are readily available
-- If I buy extra mounting brackets, I should be able to use one or two table extensions for multiple machines (MFT/3, thickness planer, jointer, router table, etc....)
-- At nearly 4' long, this should nicely support most of my ripping needs
-- The support leg allows for ripping heavy materials
Cons:
-- Since this table extension relies on a support leg, I won't be able to swing my Erika around for miter cuts
-- At nearly 4' long, this might not fit in many interior projects, and would likely be mostly used in my shop or outdoors
Alternatively, I'm aware that Felder/Hammer have some nice aluminum table extensions but I'm having a hard time finding photos/pricing of them. The appeal of these is that they are shorter, and would provide out feed support while still allowing me to rotate my Erika around to accommodate making miter cuts.
Any thoughts?
