Hello,
Does anyone know if the new 7.0 amp batteries will work on the MT55 cordless model? Specifically with a guide rail and parallel guide system like Seneca?
The 5.5 amp batteries barely worked....
thank you
Brice

Same exact size as the 5.5ah batteries. The New 8.0ah will work as well, the battery body is even a little shorter from the new deigned shell.

I thought the 5.5s were the most powerful batteries of them all...

There's a 6.2ah, 7.0ah, and 8.0ah Yes. Thanks handyman; I'm aware of that. There's also (still) 2.0s, 3.1s, 3.5s, 4.0s & 5.2s available as well. However, I'm not referring to storage capacity (measured in mA/H or watt hours) but power, or current, measured in watts or Amperes respectively. The 5.5s had different individual Sanyo Panasonic cells I believe. There's also 9.0s & 4.5s available in single & double-row configurations in a few months time too. Maybe they'll be more powerful, or maybe not. As previously mentioned, I thought the 5.5s (@ 1500w or 83+ A potential output) were the most powerful batteries of them all.

I thought the 5.5s were the most powerful batteries of them all... The new 8.0ah battery with 21700 cells has peak output of 1600 watts. I've not read 1500 watts for the 5.5ah batteries.

Brice is using a parallel guide system on (I presume) Fesool rails. He's asking about clearance and not about compatibility.

I notice that they've missed out on that North American (USA?/Canada?) power tool manufacturer that is also marketing Metabo grinder & battery packages. The name - as always - seems to escape me.

Just ordered an 8.0ah beast. I'll post some photos next to the 5.5ah when it comes in.

I have had a few days now with the 7ah battery and it does the job for sure. The 5,5 LiHD rocks too.
