Mafell offers many types of Mafell-branded blades for the P1CC. I am attaching scans here from a 2013 brochure that describes the blades because I had a hard time finding a clear list until Timberwolf Tools sent me a higher resolution pdf. Given forum member "7"'s testing of the Bosch T345XF and my side-by-side comparison of the Bosch T345XF with the Mafell W+M2, I have done my best to match images of Mafell blades with the identical Bosch blade package. The blades with a Mafell logo cost about twice as much as the Bosch, so I will be buying Bosch in the future. These prices were found on October 15, 2013 and do not include tax and shipping.
Mafell Blade | Timberwolf US$ | Bosch Blade | Amazon US$ | CUnex W1 | 41.10 | <none> |
| W2 | 17.30 | T144DP | 15.62 | W3 | 20.60 | T344D | 10.75 | W4 | 13.10 | T244D | 5.15 | W5 | 20.60 | T234X | 9.16 | W6 | 16.40 | T101BR | 7.04 | W+P2 | 14.80 | T101BF | 9.78 | W+M2 | 25.80 | T345XF | 11.97 | L2 | 26.20 | T101BIF | 15.99 | M2 | 19.10 | T118AF | 8.50 | E+F2 | 24.30 | T141HM1 | 14.34 |

The Bosch T345XF looks the same as the Mafell "W+M 2" blade. The Mafell "W+M 2" blade is about US$30 for a 5 pack from the dealer and the Bosch T345XF 5 pack is US$13 from Amazon. US$10 for a 3-pack from Home Depot.

No idea it could be the fact the bosch sells far more blades than mafell so can sell at a lower price. It could be a different grade of material. Its just one of those things in life. You get 2 people to price work at your house they both give different prices even though using the same material and doing the same job but both will give different prices

I'm pretty sure its a same blade quality,Swiss Made, even more all Mafell blades is the same Bosch Blades just different paint color and name on it.
So,again, why pay more for the Mafell blades if the Bosch blades cheaper and a same quality/Swiss Made?
A Member 7 proved it,the Bosch blades cut pretty amazing/clean on the Mafell Jigsaw.

I would say that you are getting ripped off in America if that is what you have for mafell jigsaw blades in the UK the w4 wood progressive blades are priced at £9+VaT and axminster the bosch progressor blades are priced at £8.54 the w+m 2 wood+metal progress blades are £18 + VAT which can cut wood with nails in it and not be affected to much. I personally use the bosch blades I find they give good results as long as I don't hit a nail and take the edge off the blade

That's good info, it seems Bosch and Mafell share a few things, like the guide rails or the plungesaw design, now these blades, it seems they have some kind of deal to share products/designs or build products for each other.

Not uncommon in the tool industry or any tech for that matter. Apple, for instance, has gone back to using Samsung components for their cellphones.

They also use Bosch's 36v batteries. I wouldn't be suprised to see some 18V stuff in cooperation with Bosch in the near future as well...

Yes but that's mainly using components only, not offering the exact same product. Apple only designs its products and have others produce it, while Mafell and Bosch also produce their own products (to a certain extend). Still I think it's good to know who does what, as a consumer you only benefit from this kind of knowledge. Why pay more for the same product? I personally don't care what brand it has on the box.
Also if both companies create better products as a result of their cooperation I'm all for it. But when I asked if the Bosch plunge saw was a Mafell someone pointed out the gears were different and the parts on the Bosch were made in China. That's good info to have because otherwise I would have bought the Bosch since all specs were alike and it was clear the design was by Mafell.

Thanks for putting the list together atlr! I need to stock up on a few more blades and looking at Bosch's list of blades just gave me a headache. They seriously need to consider the "less is more" ideology.
