Hi All, I was considering the mt55 for the last few months, but reading through the posts this morning, it seems that there is high regard for the kss saws. I tried to read up on the saw on mafell's website but was not clear what all the differences are between the kss and the mt. Can anyone give me a general list of what the kss is best suited for and the mt55? Also, is each saw compatible with the other's rail? My application is for mostly cabinetry installation, so I am not using massive depths of cut. Potentially long mitres. All the insight is appreciated. Cheers, Abe

I'll let others with far more insight chime in, but as soon as you say cabinetry that moves the MT55/18 to the top of the list.
The KSS 40 & MT55 seem to be the dynamic duo right now. Package deal is the way to go with an MT55 because of the rails and possibly other accessories that are bundled at a discount. Holiday deals could make it a good time to buy too.
If you'd prefer not to search the forum I think watching a few youtube videos of the MT55 in action and KSS line up in action will go a long way towards narrowing your choice.
The Bosch version of the MT55, while omitting numerous features of the mafell, should give you the main benefit at a lower cost.
