I agree with everyone one the KSS60 looking like the better buy over the 400. Ghostfist makes the only point I can think of in the blades being the same for both the 400 and the 55. As the owner of the 400 I would've definitely paid the difference for the advantages of the 60. I like how they put the motor at 14 Amps instead of 15. Helps to not pop breakers during cold winter months on the initial startup.

No I think you'll need to buy a separate 120 volt Bosch charger.

If I can prevent taking heavy 20' pieces of composite to my Kapex I think that would make it worth it right there. Love to hear some other opinions. It's a lot of money. Thanks guys.

I think that is one of the sweet spots of the KSS saws - being able to make these kind of cuts from the pile. I have the KSS80 and it is very accurate, but too heavy for doing lots of these types of cuts. I think that the 60 would be ideal in weight and balance, although I have not tried one.

How thick is the picture frame stock you're cutting? A kss400 might be as big as you need

You can get a cordless 400 as well as the 60 and the smaller 300 (which is the 40 in the cordless version). I think that the 60 over the 400 makes sense as it has all the latest upgrades and technology in the saw and greater depth of cut over the 400. But that is just my take on it.

Looking at the specs the KSS60 is 6.6kg. and the KSS400 is 6.3kg. That's a no brainer. I'm definitely getting the 60. Can't wait. Tobias is closed until the 9th I believe. I need to hurry up and get it so I can quit obsessing!

When I inquired about the 60 (and 40) at TW they said Mafell would not let them sell cordless because of the 110v charger issue. Toolstop doesn't carry them either.. So my question is.. Is there any place that sells cordless Mafell (incl. drills) in the US? I wonder if it's has something to do with Metabo, Bosch, and Hitachi and competing markets..
Unless someone has a different experience, seems to me any cordless Mafell in the US is coming in via online sales (i.e. from Europe in some fashion).
