Does anyone else feel that as awesome as the P1cc is at its job it is sadly missing a light? I've found that unless you're working in glorious sunshine the base plate which is necessarily chunky totally blocks the view of the cut line unless you get dangerously close. I'm toying with the idea of modifying it by putting a couple of LEDs behind the clear plastic piece at the front of the body. It looks like it was designed for this very purpose. Why haven't mafell included any? Has anyone heard of anyone else having done this? Any thought welcomed. Tvm.

Excellent workaround Holmz. I'm thinking about taking the LED out of my old makita jigsaw and fitting it to the mafell.

Yup, I agree. The P1cc would benefit from having a light. Haven't tried adding one, if you do let us know how it works out.

This is my solution for work in dark places, good usb powered led light and self adhesive velcro tape.

I was thinking of a plexi sub-base with leds near the front. Sub base will screw into the screw holes in the P1CC base. Rout out for mini batts, switch and cabling...

I too love my p1cc but also have a hard time with the lack of light. I think I will try the led solution slywestercarpenter shows. If someone comes up with a way to install an led and hard wire it into the switch, I would totally be into that.

Google "black diamond head lamp" Holmz, is the headlamp kind of tongue in cheek, like, "just wear a headlamp"? or did you actually mount the light from the headlamp to the jigsaw? I believe you posted this same link on the Festool group and I just saw the headlamp. I can certainly wear a headlamp, but I am interested in the challenge of getting a light on the saw in a cool way. Cheers,
