I love that door! Is that sheep in the background? I suppose it is Scotland. Question, I understand you,ve accounted for window and door casing, but why the gap in between boards end to end above the door? If I can dig up the photo Ive got a pic of a "new" siding job I just did. You should get a chuckle out of mine.

The reason for the gap is to avoid capiliration from having 2 surfaces closely butted together. Avengly at the top of the door it will get a projection cill to shed water and at the sides and corners will have a corner detail that will leave a shadow gap to again avoid capiliration of water running down and becoming trapped and can't escape where by leading the gap the water will just run down the gap and not become trapped. The gap above the door will avengly line up with the shadow gap at the door on the right. Unfortunately the boards aren't long enough to do in a oner so I decided to line up the gap with the shadow gap at the door Yep that's sheep in the background

looks a cozy spot Aaron, I'm jealous. You'll have a fine little home shop there.

Not quiet, still the sides and back to do. Then carry on with the bench. Make the cabinets for the tools etc. So still plenty to keep busy with

A wee vid of cutting the wood to size for cladding the shed. Using the erika with the stop system Like the way you're stacking your material for the cuts. How long are the boards you're cutting? And what is the overall length/capacity of your extended Erica fence?

And what is the overall length/capacity of your extended Erica fence? Long time no see. Hope you're doing good. Stacking piles is something I've always done makes life easy. The boards are from 350mm to 3.1m. The fence currently has a capacity of 2m and another 900 approx with the telescopic extension. 1m extensions can be added up to any size
