Hey Red Trying to crosscut with the saw was not working without support, came up with the current solution with the least amount of money and complicated hardware . Have to agree on a sweet setup , spent twice what the Festool equivalent would have cost . With several cuprex motors under the hood should last the rest of my working days .
Wrightwoodwork aka (GOD) Thanks for all your videos , have only photos to help share the knowledge base for the Erika saw .
skinee Handle is fine on the 10.8 drill ,really skinny handles on tools will cause fatigue in the hand if over gripping for long periods . The A10 drill meets my needs for detailing the final phase of homebuilding.

Joe,
That's a mighty fine set up, excellent photos as well. Are the legs for the out feed tables Mafell? Looks like you're using the push/pull feature to cross cut? Any plans to get the sliding table?

Joe, That's a mighty fine set up, excellent photos as well. Are the legs for the out feed tables Mafell? Looks like you're using the push/pull feature to cross cut? Any plans to get the sliding table? John The folding legs were bought from "K&E Hardware" model H-14 ,wanted folding legs for portability . In one of the photos you can see that they are not tall enough , turned down some oak dowels and drove them up into the hollow legs . Am using the pull feature for every cut possible ,with the setup in the pictures i can crosscut and stop router without moving a thing . Next set up will be cross cutting melamine shelving for all the closets ,lots of 16 inch material .Hope to not have to use my ATF 55 track saw . The sliding table is not in the plans for purchase at this time .

OK Joe keep talking... Did you get the 70 or the 85 and why?
I think I can do much of what I want to do with a table saw, but they have always seemed like the most used tool around. I even had made a mount for a router on the old craftsman I had. But nothing about that saw was much good except the blade, my fence extension, and my sled.

What did the man say about the value of pictures?Joe's Erika

OK I see now it is the 85.
I am thinking I could use this like a slide miter saw.
I never realised that they also did coffee and ironing as well. .
The more I look at this, the Metabo, and the Bosch, and Festool the more I think that the Erika85 makes some sense for me. Obviously I will get a loop-sided perspective here.

I might be a little biased towards the erika. One issue you don't get is the weight of the head deflecting the cut when you angle it over especially on large cuts

I think he's comparing it to a compound mitre saw, where you have the weight of the motor etc., which you can feel as it leans to do bevel cuts.

Man with what joe has here and what wright has posted of his erica i am seriously contemplating ditching the kapex and switching to the erica The Kapex is ~1800 Aussie. Assuming that the Dictum amount is ~4k Au. If shipping is 500, then GST and Duty is 900, so is ~5500Au. So still 3500 above a Kapex, but I don't need a kapex table nor a router table. But it is a lot of coin for me.

Damn Holmz i thought your numbers were a little high until I looked up the conversion rate from euro to au . You fellas in Australia are getting the raw end of the deal. Do you make more to compensate?

Do you make more to compensate? You would have to ask a pro. As where I am at they 'charge like wounded bulls', it was cheaper and faster to buy Mafells and do it myself.
