Yeah that was part of the reason I bought the I could expand it to do other tasks but is still compact enough for site work but can also be used for small work shop use and be accurate like for making small cabinets etc

As far as I know the support rails can be attached on the outside of the sliding table as it uses the same dovetail profile as the saw table not that I have the sliding table or support rails yet. The fence guide extension can be attached to either the universal fence or the multi function which a slid on the dovetail profiles on the sliding table to give I think 900mm cross cut approx 3' also you can attach a sliding extension to give a cross cutti of 1800. You can't fix a dado saw blade as far as I know dado saw blades are illegal in Europe as the blades potentially can keep spinning when the saw has stopped. Also we used to get a saw blade called a wobble blade and you would set it to wobble to give a through housing, but there also band now I think. It's a long time since I worked in workshop so not fully up on the latest health safety

Just being looking at your pictures of the Erika set up. Have a couple of questions on the sliding table the rail that it slides on what is its length and the other question is do you think it's worth getting the parallel guide. I recently got the 1m table extension rails and thinking the parallel guide would be a worth while addition.

Your sliding table looks really interesting. Anymore details?

Can't give you the length of the rail right now because I am out of my workshop for a couple of weeks. Sorry! I agree. The parallel guide is very useful. I use it all the time. By the way, there are much more things you can do with your table extension rails. I found this in the web:

Very interesting option there and shows how the saw could be used for larger sheet material

I'm currently cutting a bunch of long pieces on the Erika. The support foot and fence extension is handy for this Attachments:

Soon I will build my Erika out with a router table extension with an 8020 frame (that attaches into the rails of the saw) and some casters. I chose not to get the router table extension that Mafell makes for the Erika as it is a tad too small for my use. The vac will also be on board. I'll post images when I get further with this.
