Jalvis, i was very lucky once while just glancing at classified adds saw this duo doweler for sale. Brand new Mafell never used! This man's girl freind bought it for him but he already had a DE walt so he was selling. Got it for €250 & i think they are about €650 normally. I use this mostly for joining battens together in door making. I got two saws a Kss400 & KSP85 which get the most use. WE had a Erika at a school we were building which was handy but in Scandinavia we mostly use Vorsteh pull up type saws.

Sounds like your more into framing?
Thats a good deal on a doweler! There arent many chances for a good price on Mafell in North America. The product just isn't well known enough to be available used.
Not sure what a "Vorsteh" saw is?.......nothing came up from a word search.

In the uk the price for mafell s25 and festool ctl26 are about the same I have the s25 as when I got it was cheaper but if I was to buy again I would get the festool as you can get the longlife bags. The suction on both is properly the same its just the longlife bag makes festool a slightly better buy but it does add £140 to the price. Also the bosch Hoovers are the same as mafell a company called starmix makes them, then they get rebadged. The festool planer hl850 is about £100 dearer than the mafell for the same package equivalent
