can any one recommend a blade type for this material? to be clear I am talking about high pressure laminate sheet varying in thickness from 4mm to 20mm ,similar or perhaps identical to solid phenolic(abrasive).I was thinking a triple chip blade,i will be using it in the Erika 85 and don't want to risk ruining my mafell blades.i do have an aluminium cutting blade and am wondering how it would stand up to cutting this material.

Triple chip blade should work well but even better if you can find one in the right size is a hollow ground blade. It produces and even crisper edge.

thank you for your suggestions/advice arvid and @eoj joe im in the UK so cant easily get that tenyru blade,i also sought advice from a couple of blade/tool sellers here in the UK and their suggestions were similar to yours,in the end I decided to try my 'irwin' 100 tooth aluminium blade as it was close to the recommendations I received.it worked very well, good clean cuts(low speed on Erika) and hopefully it has done no harm to the blade, guess i'll find out next time I cut some aluminium!

I have the CMT triple chip blade for my Erika 85, I use it for solid surface. You can get CMT from Scott Sargeant in the UK
