I've just got the micro adjust rip guide, it doesn't sit square to the table (left / right).
The dovetail is clean, pushed right up, it's still not square.
The square adjustment bolt does nothing, even totally removed it kicks out to the left at the back of the rip guide. It seems to me that material needs removing off of the coarse adjustment dovetail block so it will push back enough. I've read Jonathans comments on another thread, pushing the guide back with my palm doesn't do the trick. Any suggestions?

Which way do you need to move the output (back) side of the fence?

Left I think...

Are you using the 1m aluminum fence extension or just the cast iron rip fence? If you are using the fence extension, try inserting a very thin shim at the back of the fence between the aluminum extension and the cast iron rip fence. This will move the output side of the fence to the left. I used a few layers of duct tape on mine. If you are not using the aluminum extension and only the cast iron rip fence I cannot offer any suggestions. I would advise you to seek other options before you alter the dovetail.

I have the aluminium extension, of course I can modify it with washers to make it square, but I'm bit surprised that a machined item like this is so far out. I've actually mounted a different aluminium profile from my old Elu saw on it, I was hoping there was adjustment without resorting to shims and packing.

I think the most important thing to do is to lube the dovetail rail and the clamp "mouth" on the fence. This allows the fence to slid into the bottom of the groove when you fasten it. The machined aluminium clamping surface is very grippy, and makes it easy to misalign the fence. I have not found much use for the adjustment bolt either.
I'm currently battling with the rip fence moving too much while cutting. I noticed that the dovetail rail in front of the saw is not straight! If I put straight edge across the rail, there is about 0.5mm hill at the middle of the saw. This causes the fence to clamp with just 2 contact points at some locations, one contact point hanging in the air and allowing the fence to move even more.
Using the universal fence at the side of the table has so far been the most stable setup for me. Fiddly to setup, and often feels too short.

I've shimmed mine with washers and it is now square. Not happy to have to do this for the price of the fence. I have replaced the adjustment bolt with one with a plastic head so I can adjust it without tools - each time the guide rail is removed from the saw and put back it is out of square. I'll try some lube... erm... I'll put some lube on the dovetail and see if it changes anything.

It's been discontinued for about a year or so. You're better off with an MFA, or even better an Incra LS.

Hello Anyone complaining about the fact they just discontinued its production, so disappointing... I checked with Mafell Germany and they replied with : Good afternoon
Please be informed that due changing legal requirements, we had to revise Erika 85 as well as its accessories. Therefore, the below mentioned item had to be discontinued as we were no longer allowed to sell it.
Regards

Sounds like bla-bla... it wasn't a big seller, that's what I was told. It's not worth the money, probably the only Mafell item I've not been impressed with.
